Providing the Best Family Entertainment Design Service

We offer assistance to every part of your family entertainment design project with our comprehensive consulting services, which go far beyond site selection and concept development. They also cover feasibility studies, final design, plans and specifications, and construction engineering services.

Site Evaluation

We offer an initial site evaluation in terms of location, access, suitability, and capacity. This further examines visibility and access issues, the percentage of effectively utilizing the prospective site, the availability of basic utility services, potential floodplain/floodway or existing soil problems, zoning, the impact of existing topography, neighborhood ambiance, traffic volume, and the area roadway network.

Feasibility Studies

Project feasibility is one of the most essential components when creating any successful project. Over the past 30 years, we have developed more than 77 feasibility studies for amusement parks, large and small family entertainment centers, standalone miniature golf courses, and go-kart tracks. In these studies, we evaluated the location, demographics, proposed attractions, existing competition, projected attendance and revenues, operating costs, cost of construction, staffing, debt service, and related issues to determine if a project is worth starting.

Business Plans

Our approach is to assist our clients in preparing their business plans rather than creating them ourselves and submitting them for approval. Any business plans the client submits to private investors or bank loan committees must be ones the client knows thoroughly. Not having complete knowledge of the sources and reasons for the data presented is one sure way of getting rejected.
We work closely with our clients to ensure that the correct information is included, presented clearly and concisely, and the justification of the data gathered is explained in sufficient detail.

Concepts and Planning

Our services include the development of concepts and master plans for FECs, including assistance in determining specific attractions and the creation of an optimized building floor plan. Proper placement of attractions and amenities is essential to maximize guest exposure, thus improving revenues and guest satisfaction.

Attraction Design - Outdoor Attractions

Concession Go-Karts

Our current outdoor attractions include various go-kart models. Since 1990, we have created many new designs and operational concepts for a wide variety of concession go-kart tracks around the country and overseas. We have designed more concession go-kart tracks than any other firm, created more diverse track configurations, and continue to develop new and innovative designs for entertainment facilities around the globe.

Miniature Golf

Our staff works hand-in-hand with our clients, starting with the original topographic survey, developing a working concept that establishes the size and shape of the mini-golf course, creating the final design (including theming), and developing construction plans and specifications.

Bumper Boat Ponds

We created and perfected the first free form bumper boat pond design in 1992. Since then, we've worked to improve the entertainment value of the ponds with islands that create chase channels, an individual boat docking system that holds boats in position for guests boarding and exiting, and safety walkways around the pond perimeters to enhance staff access to the far side of the pond in the event they need to be there in a hurry.

Other Outdoor Attractions

We also offer the inclusion of other entertainment forms into the outdoor mix of attractions, including, but not limited to, batting cages, Water Wars, outdoor laser tag, ropes courses, zip lines, midway rides, group picnic pavilions, performance gazebos, sand volleyball, and many other related activities. These can be incorporated into the overall site layout and presented in a way that maximizes their exposure.

Indoor Attractions

There are hundreds of potential indoor attractions that could be considered. Over the years, however, several attractions have proven themselves to be readily noticeable. Among the various indoor attractions we have incorporated into several entertainment facilities, the most popular are mini-lane bowling, go-karts, indoor mini-golf, glow golf, roller skating game rooms, laser tag, laser mazes, soft play, toddler play with parent lounges, bumper cars, wall climbing, mini roller coasters, ropes courses, go-karts, redemption centers, birthday party rooms, and food services.            We usually ask our clients to consider using proven elements when establishing their initial attraction mix, withholding the introduction of new or exotic features for the latter phases of their operations. Interestingly, we find that many family entertainment centers these days have moved toward creating redemption games as the major component of modern game rooms.

Creative Floor Plan Configuration

Food Services

Proper attraction placement is important because it affects their relationship to the point of sale and redemption center counters, food services, maintenance and storage areas, and related elements. It also includes provisions for properly sized entrances and aisle widths, initial attraction placement, periodic game relocation, moving elements into the maintenance room for repairs, and related issues.
Each project is analyzed to determine the specific mix of attractions that will best serve the targeted age groups in the primary market. We recognize that every facility must serve several age groups or it will fail.
Almost all facilities should have birthday party rooms, redemption centers, food services, restrooms, offices, mechanical rooms, and storage areas.
Limited food services are common in most family entertainment centers, even as they serve a major need and offer the potential for solid revenue. While the larger facilities may make food and beverage services their major component on the concept of come for the food and stay for the entertainment, this may not work for most facilities. This is because food services for the typical entertainment center are more closely related to snack bars.
